Room EQ Wizard (REW), the free measurement and analysis tool widely used in the home audio hobby, has opened a public beta of version 5 with a long-requested feature: built-in multi-subwoofer level and delay optimization.
Previously, blending multiple subwoofers in REW required manually comparing overlaid traces and adjusting delay by trial and error. The new workflow measures each sub individually, then proposes a starting delay and level for each based on the combined in-room result.
This brings a feature set similar to commercial room-correction systems into a free, vendor-neutral tool — useful if you want to understand exactly what's happening to your measurement data rather than trusting a black-box algorithm.
